Welcome to the Rocky Vista University website.
I have the honor of serving the University as Interim President and welcoming you to our web site.
Rocky Vista University was founded in 2006 as home to the College of Osteopathic Medicine, one of only two medical schools in the State of Colorado. The University is located in Parker Colorado, which is part of the greater Denver metroplex and within view of the Colorado Rocky Mountain foothills. The University is housed in a contemporary 145,000 square foot facility with ample space to accommodate the needs of our faculty and students well into the future. Our facilities include the latest in medical classroom design, lecture halls, laboratories and state-of-practice technology. Founded as a university dedicated to serving the needs of the health professions, we anticipate diversifying our curriculum and programmatic offerings in allied health disciplines in the years ahead.
Our faculty members are selected from the professional medical community and meet rigorous academic and professional credentialing requirements. Through a series of support networks, students and faculty are assured of having the best academic support and osteopathic medical curriculum available. With the assistance and talent of our extraordinary faculty and staff, Rocky Vista University competes for the most talented medical student candidates in the United States.
To serve our students, the College of Osteopathic Medicine's faculty and staff have developed an extensive network of clinical affiliates comprised of hospitals, physician groups, clinics, and private practitioners to ensure we are responsive to the development of medical students and post-graduate physicians who are interested in locating and training in Colorado and the Mountain West region.
