Financial Aid

The Rocky Vista University Office of Financial Aid is here to assist you with finding the financial resources needed to help you achieve your educational goals. While the primary responsibility for meeting your educational costs rests with you and/or your family, we are here to help you find the resources you may need to bridge the gap between the cost of your education and your own financial resources.

Eligibility for Federal Title IV Financial Aid:

Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine is one of the newest of the 28 colleges of osteopathic medicine currently established or in development in the United States. The college has been granted provisional accreditation from the American Osteopathic Association Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education) and by the Colorado Commission on Higher Education to deliver professional osteopathic medical education and grant degrees.

Rocky Vista University students will be eligible to participate in Federal "Title IV" Loan Programs when the college obtains full accreditation. The process for newly established medical schools to obtain full accreditation cannot be fulfilled until all the requirements for graduation of the inaugural class have been met. This means that students cannot receive a Subsidized or Unsubsidized Stafford Loan or Grad/PLUS Loan while attending RVU during the 2008-2009 academic year. Refer to the Loans link for more information.
