Michael Tieman, M.D., FACS

Dr. Tieman is a retired general surgeon who serves RVUCOM as an adjunct clinical professor of surgery. He received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and completed his general surgery residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He practiced surgery primarily in small rural hospitals in Wisconsin and Arizona. His surgical practice included a wide diversity of areas including c-sections and gynecological surgery, vascular surgery, upper and lower gastrointestinal surgery and endoscopy, endocrine surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgery. He served as a clinical preceptor at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, Arizona.
