Dr. Clarence Colle

Dr. Colle was born in a small log cabin outside of Cleveland, Ohio. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio, where he majored in Geology and minored in Astronomy and Physics. He received his doctorate from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. His dissertation is entitled “Equine Herpesvirus Type-1 Strain Kentucky A: Characterization of Unique Short Genes and Assessment of Pathogenicity in the Mouse Model.”

Dr. Colle's current research is focused on isolation and characterization of immune modulators from Trichechus manatus latirostris, (West Indian Manatee). He has authored over a dozen papers about viruses and immune function.
