Dr. Bentley received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wagner College in Staten Island, New York, and a Master of Science in Environmental Biology from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. She received a Master of Public Health degree from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in Miami, Florida and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from NSU’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. She was Chair and Assistant Professor at NSUCOM and she also had her own private practice as a family physician. Dr. Bentley is the Chair of RVUCOM Community Medicine Outreach Program and just returned from her 14th medical outreach trip to Guatemala in January where she worked with healthcare providers, students and volunteers to help meet the medical needs of Mayan villagers living near Lake Atitlan.
