Faculty Positions

Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking applications at all professional ranks for the following positions in the Departments of Primary and Specialty Medicine. All positions require a DO or MD degree, current board certification and current Colorado license or eligibility for Colorado license.

The following positions are being recruited on a full-time basis:


Chair, Department of Specialty Medicine

This is a full-time faculty position at the level of associate professor or full professor in the College of Osteopathic Medicine for academic clinicians holding the D.O. or M.D. degree. The Department of Specialty Medicine includes all clinical specialties except for Family Medicine, Pediatrics, and Osteopathic Principles and Practices. Certification in internal medicine is preferred, but other specialties will be considered.  While there are potential opportunities for clinical practice, this is primarily a full-time academic position. 

 

Individuals selected for key positions such as Departmental Chairs will have the unique opportunity to participate in designing the educational programs of the COM in its early evolution, and outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills are required.

Medical Assistant

Rocky Vista University has a full-time position available for a Medical Assistant in the RVU Health Clinic.  The health clinic provides Osteopathic health care services, including OMM (Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine) evaluation and treatment services, by appointment only.  The Medical Assistant will assist physicians by providing a variety of patient services, including assessment of patient needs, collection and documentation of the patient’s current health status, and performing basic laboratory tests and specimen collection.  Successful candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, as well as a Medical Assistant Certificate, and have previous experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient setting.  Adherence to the Clinic standards regarding the confidential treatment of patient information is a condition of employment.  For a detailed job description, please visit our website at http://www.rockyvistauniversity.org .  You may apply for this position by submitting your resume, along with your salary requirements to:  hr@rockyvistauniversity.org

Exam Proctors - Pueblo, Colorado

 

Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine, based in Parker, Colorado , is seeking to hire Examination Proctors for the new Pueblo Subject Exam testing site.  This is a great opportunity to contribute to the professional development of future doctors while earning a part-time income,  on a monthly basis,  as needed by the University.  Proctors will assist with exam set up and monitoring of the exam area during and after exams to ensure the security of exam materials and the integrity of the process.  Work will be performed at our Pueblo, Colorado location.
