educational Resources

Rocky Vista University has invested heavily in technology and resources as well as the design of its facilities to support and advance learning for its students. In addition to a highly qualified faculty, the physical plant and technology of the College are second to none.

An atmosphere conducive to learning is found throughout the campus. An emphasis on light and accentuating the outdoors makes for a comfortable environment both indoors and outdoors on the campus. The modern learning center and library provide a quiet and resource-rich environment for the students and faculty alike, with more than 1,800 journals and 1,200 full text books available online. State of the art technology is found in the auditoriums, classrooms and laboratories where high fidelity A.V. Systems and smart podiums promote web streaming of lectures and distance education.

The simulation laboratories and standardized patient learning center are patterned after those found at the Comlex PE and USMLE centers in Pennsylvania, and feature high fidelity simulators such as Stan and Harvey education modules and complete recording and evaluation capabilities. The OMM/clinical medicine laboratory is equipped with not only complete A.V. capability and wide screen monitors to aid education, but hydraulic treatment and examination tables that allow every student to make the adjustments that foster their education. The anatomy laboratory is equipped for learning and comfort with high flow air exchange and chilling, creating a pleasant environment. Small group seminar and classrooms stimulate active learning and individual attention for the students.

The entire campus provides wireless access to the electronic media and computing resources of the University while students have access remotely from anyplace with a broadband connection.

Quality facilities do not guarantee success for a student, but those on the campus of RVUCOM promote the learning environment and advance the opportunity for success.
