Clinical Rotations Information Analyst
This full-time position provides Clinical Rotations Informatics resources for the Office of Clinical Affairs (OCA) department. This position is the sole individual tasked with the responsibility for management of the medical education specialized web-based software One45. Additionally, this position is the institutional-level educator of this software application, and others, for faculty and staff as well as being the liaison with software vendors, and serves as the front-end designer of the online modules and surveys, and back-end retrieval.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1.
Provides leadership and high level
guidance to end users by becoming an expert in One45
2.
Provides consultation and support in
conjunction with the managers for the deployment of the One45 application
3.
Develops and implements action plans as
needed to support user accuracy, data integrity and system reliability
4.
Coordinates and facilitates on-going
clinical information system evaluation including: user accuracy, data integrity,
and system reliability
5.
Provides quality first line support for
users of clinical applications
6.
Participates in post implementation
change evaluation and supports users in maintaining changed work flow and
technological processes
7.
Ensures data is maintained timely and
accurately
8.
Assures software is compliant with
University rules and regulations
9.
Collaborates with the Information
Services department to maintain backend database systems
10.
Utilizes communication skills and
leadership skills to work collaboratively with team members and persons from
various constituencies in the accomplishment of required tasks
11.
Develops and maintains schedules within
the One45 computer system
12.
Develops reports for the OCA departmental
use
MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.
Tracks education enrollment, attendance, and completion utilizing the One45
software application
2.
Participates in Interdisciplinary process improvement to identify future uses of
the information systems and potential improvements in the current use of the
clinical rotations systems
3.
Utilizes adult learning principles to deliver standardized content and materials
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND
ABILITIES:
1.
Skills in Microsoft office applications including but not limited to Word and
Excel
2.
Experience working with online learning tools and surveys, including design,
implementation, maintenance, and data and report generating
3.
Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1.
Graduation from an accredited college or
university with a bachelor’s degree
2.
One year of experience as a trainer
and/or one year of experience in a medical education setting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.
Experience working within a higher
education and/or academic medical environment AND experience providing training
in a specialized field
2.
Knowledge of medical clinical rotations
3.
Outstanding customer service skills
4.
Ability to work independently as well as
the ability to work within a team
